Visit High Barnet, a medieval town packed full of history, shops, entertainment, festivals, and parks & open space.
Organised by Barnet Arts, The Bull Theatre and Barnet Southgate College, this annual event usually takes place on the first Sunday of December on High Barnet High Street.
Good Friday: Walk of Witness. The cross is carried from St Mary the Virgin, Monken Hadley along the High Street to the churchyard at St John the Baptist’s, followed by a service on the green outside St John the Baptist. Annual, family friendly soul music festival in Barnet, north London, with proceeds going to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care & other local causes.
London’s largest medieval weekend will take place at Barnet Elizabethans RFC. The Festival will be commemorating the Battle of Barnet with a special programme of battle re-enactments, gunnery and archery displays, living history encampments, music and dance, a medieval market and children’s activities.
Every September hundreds of artists around the county open their studio doors, exhibit their works and offer workshops.
The annual Remembrance Sunday parade leaves the Reserve Army Centre and comes to the church along the High Street, arriving at the Chipping Barnet War Memorial by 10.40am.

Every June, QE Boys’ School in Barnet, celebrate founders day – their biggest individual fundraiser for the year. “… a splendid occasion of celebration and community” (source).
