To be confirmed…

Details from previous years are: The annual Remembrance Sunday parade leaves the Reserve Army Centre and comes to the church along the High Street, arriving at the Chipping Barnet War Memorial by 10.40am.  A MUFFLED BELL ACCOMPANIES THE ARRIVAL OF THE PARADE.  Here, after prayers for those who died in the service of the Crown in two World Wars and in subsequent conflicts, there is a solemn observance of the Two Minutes’ silence followed by wreath-laying.  All progress into church for an Armistice service, accompanied by presentation of ex-service standards at the altar, and the ceremonial ‘turning of the page’ of the Barnet UDC Book of Remembrance.  Directly after the conclusion of the service, the parade re-forms and marches past a saluting base on High Street, where by tradition, the salute is taken by the Monarch’s Representative and a Councillor representing the Worshipful The Mayor of Barnet.
